When the lights go down in theaters there is the soft glow at the bottom of the outside seats that light up the aisle. These lights are not intrusive but provide a pathway for those who have to go out during the movie and then return to their seats.
In homes floor lighting can be a great safety feature for night forays. No one wants to leave lights burning all night so floor and foot lights can bridge the gap for better sight at night. These lights can be recessed into the floor to shine on the lower wall or be attached to the wall to light up the floor. Either way the section of the floor you want illuminated will show up.
Floor lights can be purchased in strings which operate off a single transformer or operate as individual pots. Some lighting, as in aircraft floor lighting, are strings of light emitting diodes (LED) which can be attached to the baseboard are installed under a clear plank that matches the dimensions of the floor plank.
Wall-mounted floor lights are available in LED’s which are operated by a light-sensitive switch. In addition solar lights are now available with a panel that can be mounted in a sunny area to charge a battery. Then the lights go when the light-operated switch turns them on.
